Famous Signature Food In Makassar.

Not much expectation at first, because I am not a fan of such heavy beef dish. But this one, the soup is rich and tasty, combined with generous chopped green onion, crispy fried shallot+garlic, lime juice, and sambal it's sooo balance. The beef slice is quite tender, makes a perfect bite with soft ketupat (rice cake). Also the price is affordable.

Honestly I think they serve the best coto, its delicious with reasonable price. Staffs are very friendly and able to communicate in English.

I think their coto soup favor like pallubasa (another kind of Makassar's traditional food, mostly use coconut fried inside), it taste thick but delicious too. Their sambal is not using using tauco like other's coto sambal. The meat are tender. Worth try!

This was my first time trying local Coto. It was superb. Heard from the locals and came all the way here at 3 AM, and understood why it's one of the best, it worthed everything. Meat was a bit chewy, but the soup was perfection. I asked for more soup, then came to realize too much santan could be a problem lol. Place was decent, but no ambience at all. I saw Chinese food menu on the table as well.

This is another famous signature culinary of Makassar. A Traditional meat soup with a thick and rich seasoning souce serve with ketupat. If you are new to Makassar this is must try culinary. The place is always crowded and kinda messy but I think that's a traditional market look maybe. Well the food taste is fabulous 😂 and the price is very acceptable.

The best coto ever. Though the quality is a bit inconsistent: if the meat's tasty then the soup will be quite bland, but when the soup is super delicious then the meat is nothing to write home about.

Hospitality is the first thing i found here. Warm welcome. The place is clean and spacious. Though, the parking lot is limited. The food is very delicious. You should try while you are around. I surely will visit again for another coto.

Another culinary legend in Makassar. Located in the crossroad if Jl. Gagak and KS. Tubun, this place offers a very affordable and delicious coto (mixed or beef only) for only 20k, excluded Kupat (it is available in every table and you can take it as much as you want) and beverages. All the prices are under 30K.

For me, it is the best Coto in Makassar. Coto is good, Ketupat is good, all good. The price is also competitive.

The coto is tasty (I recommend just eating it by itself with no lime or sambal) and so is just about everything else that have for sale (keropok, mango). And the place is relatively clean on top of everything else.

Delicious with thick soup. You can ask for all beef meat or mixed. Go to blue section if you want the non smoking area (i assume). The price is IDR 20,000 per 1 bowl, excluding the ketupat.

One of the best Cotto Makassar in town.

Just 5 mins walking from Balai Diklat PU Makassar. This local delicacy taste amazingly good, it’s a beef soup kind of thing with plenty of spices that makes the soup very well seasoned. Served with small bowl, you eat them together with rice cake. Such a worthy, not so expensive either.
